These photos are for Doug and Sip who are busy drinking ginger-infused smoothies & cutting fresh flowers before arrival of house guests. They’re also probably feeling pretty darn smug since they’re vacationing on the warm and sunny island of Vieques! For the geographically challenged, that’s an isle right next to Puerto Rico. I’ve spent the day snowbound at home, so at lunch I grabbed the G1o and we went for a walk around the neighborhood. My favorite building in Morningside. It’s the red carriage house and you can’t miss it as you drive to our house.
This was a two-part storm, with the afternoon bringing the second round of snow.
Not a good day to be a sea bird. The freezing cold wind was whipping on Morningside Drive!

I would love to see your photo of the boys walking down Karen Drive in the snow.
I try to edit my photos in one batch and then schedule my entries to post staggered throughout the week. I’d like to be posting at least 5 days a week, but I simply don’t have enough time to shoot, edit and write on top of a full-time job where I spend the entire day on the computer. Hopefully I’ll keep getting faster at all of the above so I can share more of my photos.
I always carry my point and shoot. It’s good to have your camera on hand, you never know when you’ll want to use it!

Love the photo of the Sorrel’s and of the H2O. I look often and you inspire me to take my camera with me. Went out with the Boys on that snowy morning for a walk…they had slept over…with my camera. took a nice picture of their backs walking down Karen Drive. We fooled around with the effects and made it with a sepia finish.
My question is how do you find time to do this plus your work and traveling. Anyhow, thanks again for the inspiration and joy of looking at your pictures.
