It’s been exactly two years since we flew to Miami and drove down through the Florida Keys. It’s a beautiful trio, over lots of bridges and sparkling blue water. We wanted a few days to relax on the beach and decided on the island of Islamorada.

I love cats and they seem to be everywhere in the Keys:IslamoradaOur room at the Moorings, I was ready to move in!IslamoradaThis beach is frequently used for photo shoots for catalogs like J Crew. It is picture perfect, but this side of the island is definitely windy!IslamoradaMostly we lazed about on the beach, but here were our favorite spots to eat on Islamorada:
Pierre’s: a beautiful spot for an upscale romantic dinner
Morada Bay: right next to Pierre’s. Casual, feet in the sand kind of place, with great food
Islamorada Restaurant & Bakery: Great breakfasts. I think they are famous for their sticky buns
Manny & Isa’s Kitchen: Cuban food!
