There were two silly little things I really hoped to see on our trip .  A sea otter on Vancouver Island and starfish in some low tidal pools. I thought I missed my chance for both when we left Canada.  Wrong! Ecola State Park is also known for its starfish, but there was some mix-up with a tide chart and no sealife in sight at Ecola State Park.  In the end, it didn’t matter. When you see the ridiculously gorgeous view from this park, it’s hard not to be distracted by the sheer beauty of the Oregon shoreline.

I had over-dressed expecting a chilly day on the coast and I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I was tired while we were here.   Tired of my camera and actually (gasp) a little tired of vacation. Mission accomplished. It was just a few hours before we hopped our JetBlue redeye back home.Ecola State ParkEcola State ParkEcola State ParkEcola State Park
