It was back again to Manhattan on Saturday, this time to celebrate Jo’s birthday. Hoping to get a peek at nearby Eataly, we settled on lunch at ABC Kitchen, the new farm-to-table restaurant by Jean Georges Vongerichten. It’s inside ABC Carpet & Home  at 18th Street & Broadway.  4 stars to the relaxed, understated decor. The tabletop rewards observant patrons with small, spare details.
On the right, toast with peekytoe crab.Mushrooms, parmesean, oregano and farm egg pizza. After we lunch we started to browse… 2nd floor at ABC Carpet and Home.First floor accessories. There was a line to enter Eataly by around 2:30. Neither of us wanted to wait, so we’ll have to check that out on another trip. I suppose i got my Batali/Bastianich fix on Friday night Tarry Lodge on Friday night. The wait was hideous, even with a reservation, but the food was delicious!
