Today in honor of Christine’s birthday we are entering the way back machine! No, not back to the atomic age, but back to the dawn of digitizing photos (at least in my book). This photo was taken in 2002 on FILM!!!! and the negatives were scanned. I was lucky to even find this trip archived on a cd last night! I’ve known Chris for nearly 15 years and we’ve had our fair share of adventures from the ABT’s Nutcracker at Lincoln Center to the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, Illinois. This time we were exploring the lobby of the Starlux Hotel in Wildwood, New Jersey. I think we all enjoyed a healthy dose of nostalgia and doo wop style on the Jersey Shore. Perhaps Lynnie will chime in with what she remembers from this trip.
8 years later and I still covet those George Nelson Bubble lamps!
And I still love neon signage.
In September, there were no crowds at Morey’s Piers or on the boardwalk and the weather was still in the 70s!
See the pool reflection shimmering on the second floor walls? There are so many great snapshots from this trip…
I have tons of other photos of Chris, but this vacation to Wildwood always stands out in my memory as a truly awesome weekend adventure.

Lynn, I totally remember you and the sailors on the boardwalk!! I wonder if I have any photos? I’ll have to do some more digging.
