I’ve lived in New England my entire life, yet I still feel like we pick the wrong weekend for leaf peeping. You’ll see a lot of green in this post. Two weekends ago was just too early. Every October, D wants to hike West Rock in New Haven. We often stick to the same route, though there are multiple paths through West Rock Ridge State Park. You can also drive up to the summit, but we prefer to explore on foot. I can’t top last year’s fiery oranges, but it was still a beautiful, quiet morning in the woods.
Brent is coming in a week, we have plans to introduce this son of Hawaii to the autumn joy of raking leaves.
