Lately we’ve been dining out at lunchtime when the light is better for my photos AND it’s less crowded, since we have a baby in tow. There are a number of restaurants that are not open to midday diners on Saturdays, but not this one… Today’s photos are from Oak + Almond, a new restaurant that replaced Tuscan Oven in Norwalk, CT. Just to the north of the DMV, this beautiful spot is headed up by Chef Jeff Taibe (yes, brother to Bill). I only mention the location because back in April, we didn’t see a sign and were unsure if we were in the right place. I don’t know if they’ve changed the exterior in the past month, but if not – it’s definitely a surprise when you step inside:

LOCAL SWORDFISH CRUDO

HERITAGE PORK SANDWICH
