The premise was simple enough, Heidi Swanson noticed she owned an awful lot of cookbooks, but was preparing the same old recipes every week. Yup, I’m guilty as charged, only I have way too many food magazines. This blog chronicles her cookbook collection online. Swanson focuses on natural, whole foods and ingredients and these recipes are packed with flavor. While you can find her recipes online, I also love her wonderful soft cover 4-color cookbook for under $20 called Super Natural Cooking. She helpfully arranged the recipes by topics like cooking by color, all-natural sweeteners, superfoods and building a natural food pantry. The ostu ( Japanese soba noodles ) and ultimate veggie burger are favorites in our house. Thanks to Smithies Sabina and Miranda for introducing me to 101 Cookbooks! Oh and did I mention… All the blog photography is also shot by the author! It’s so dreamy and delicious-looking! My photos above are from the first weekend I cooked with Super Natural Foods. I love bringing the camera into the kitchen.
