Happy Mountain Day to all my fellow Smithies. Does this day bring on nostalgia for a suspended classes and a crisp Autumn day outdoors in Western Mass?  In a twist of irony, I spent the day in Manhattan, right in the heart of chaos… Times Square.  Below is the view onto the top of the Paramount Building at 1501 Broadway at 43rd.I did not wake to campus bells tolling, nor did I skip out on work.. but I did manage to have an al fresco lunch at Bryant Park Cafe.  That must count for something! Did you get out there and celebrate Mountain Day?
